The grass is out of winter mode here - good for the pastures, bad for us because now the lawn needs to be mowed ;) The pasture they are on in the first picture was eaten down to very little growth a week ago and I was surprised to see that I could put them back on it today. Thank you!

The younger lambs didn't have their tags in yet. It was such a nice day, I wanted to let them out and play a little. When I brought them in last night, I tagged/banded/vaccinated the little guys. I will get some close-ups of them for you. Here is a link to Premier on installing the tags - http://www.premier1supplies.com/img/instruction/13.pdf No, you wouldn't want to mess up those awesome ears!

The tags are for 'just in case' something happens to me. I know all the lambs by name, but my husband doesn't. We have grass most of the year. The grass in these photos is actually in one of the 'sacrifice' pastures that they are in all of the time. It is a great area to raise sheep :)

Why do some of your lambs sport ear tags...and others don't? Can you do a couple of close-ups on said ear tags....those are the exact style I am trying this year and they came with NO instructions. I don't want to put them on too tight and have them affect my LOVELY blueface ears......as my sheep will need to be able to tie them in a knot or tie them in a bow.
