When I asked for the rain to stop, I guess I should have been more clear with what I wanted it replaced by.
This is not what I had in mind 🙂
Two days ago, we woke up to several inches of snow and no power. The snow continued to fall until we had about 6 inches and then it poured all day long.
The snow was very heavy and with the rain on top of it, the poor trees didn’t stand a chance. We didn’t have many issues, but the stories from around the area are crazy!
Don’t get me wrong, I love the snow and it is so pretty to look at, but really…snow at the end of March???
The trenches along the barn needed cleaning again, but they did their job and kept the sheep and hay dry.
Our poor pastures were temporarily turned into rivers.
This little pasture was definitely the worst, there was 18 inches of water up against this barn.
The Thrushes…
and the Robins didn’t look very happy with the change either.
We are on day 3 of no power, but the rain has stopped and the snow is melting and I am sure the real Spring will be here soon!
Wow! that is a lot of rain.
Yes, it was! A little ridiculous!!!
Great pictures and amazing weather. This is the first year since we lived here that we haven’t had snow in March so I did chuckle a little at your comment. No power and flooded pastures isn’t a laughing matter I know.
I’m sure you did chuckle 🙂
Ouch, that is a significant power outage! Hope it’s back on now.
Just came back on! YAY!
OMG – the weather and mother nature is on a tear in your neck of the woods – thanks for sharing! Hope things turn for the better and soon!
Today was a beautiful day! Looks like we are going to have more rain/snow for the next week, but the lights are back on and the pastures aren’t under water anymore, so things are looking up 🙂
The rain combined with cold in the Valley was never much fun, but your snow looks so pretty against the green! In Dexter, Alaska we are having new snow over the old…white on white :o)
Hope it warms up for you soon!

How fun that you are in Dexter, Alaska! Thanks for stopping by. We are lucky to have the green 🙂
On the bright side, the snow makes for some awesome pictures. I really like the last one of the sheep in the snow with the bright green grass peaking through.
You are absolutely right! I did a few more blogposts while I was at my parents today and the one that is scheduled for tomorrow has a few of my favorite pictures in it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
