I received this in an e-mail awhile ago and it is so true 🙂
Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
Take naps.
Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
Delight in the simpe joy of a long walk.
Be loyal.
Never pretend to be something you’re not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day,be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.
Remember to:
Live Simply
Love Generously
Care Deeply
and
Speak Kindly
You’re right, it is very true, and we forget it so quickly. My dogs are such a reminder of unbounded, joyful, and unconditional love….makes me wonder why we humans get such adoring creatures we don’t deserve! I guess God is great and kind and blesses even the undeserving.
That was great Shannon! Excellent post, and so true. Dogs are great aren’t they… Mine are so forgiving. 😉
This is soooo true!

What a perfect post! I always try to remind myself to fully enjoy each day without looking at the past or the future…like our dogs do. Absolutely LOVED the pics you chose to go with the text!!
A perfect post for the New Year! Happy 2009!
