We are caught in a bitter cold snap. Our thermometer has been in the single digits the last two mornings and we aren’t supposed to get above freezing until the weekend. Going outside requires many,
many,
many layers.
It feels like we should be in the Midwest, not the Northwest. On the bright side, we still have water in the house and the animals are all doing well.
Here is part of our creek, my son has enjoyed playing with his cars and trucks on it.
and look at the pond! I was able to walk across it this morning. He had a great time ice skating across it.
Poor Deuce couldn’t figure out what happened to her favorite place to play.
The four rams are the only critters that don’t have access to the barn. Luckily they still have their warm, woolly coats to stay warm.
My poor ewes are naked and shivering, but are enjoying the extra food, heat lamps, and clean barn with lots of extra bedding.
Stay warm everyone!!!
Brrrrrr! Single digits is too cold 🙂
