The hill across from our house is covered in Scotch broom – a vibrant yellow shrub. The flowers are bright and cheery in contrast to the gray, rainy days we have been experiencing recently.
While I was doing chores the other morning, I noticed this handsome guy…
and his regal friend!
Their antlers are in the early stages of growing and are covered in velvet.
They were enjoying the quiet morning and didn’t seem very concerned about me.
We don’t see many deer around our house and I had fun watching them.
They soon grew tired of me and headed into the trees. Bye boys!
