In just a couple of months, the lambs have gone from this…
to this…
Little Emeline looks more like an adult than a lamb. The jumping and playing has been replaced by eating and lounging. I love going out to the barn early in the morning and seeing the ‘big’ babies laying with their moms, chewing their cuds.
Here is Queenie and Duchess.
Walter wasn’t the first born, but he certainly is the biggest. He also has the biggest personality. He loves talking to me while I am doing chores.
It is exciting and scary and nerve wracking waiting for the horns to come in. Are they going to come in symmetrical, are they going to have good spacing, are they growing in the right direction? This boy looks like he is going to have great horns.
Tristan not only has the wide horns that I love, but he has the prettiest blue eyes too.
Here is Adelaide with our llama, Magoo.
The lambs may be growing up, but they still love their mommies 🙂
Love that last photo; the lamb’s eye really does look adoring….
She has her mom’s kind, soft eye.
Emeline is striking enough to make me consider going over to the “dark side” of two horned Jacobs 😀
Ha ha…good job Emeline! I definitely have a soft spot for the wide two horns. I may have to breed her to Ringo down the road.
Gorgeous babies Shannon! Love Lancelot and Tristan – and that last photo is just too precious. 🙂
Thanks Joan!
What sweet sheep you have!
